The HSE Hip and Knee Pathway app is for people in Osteoarthritis hip and knee programmes, to help them manage their symptoms and maintain their independence and function. The app includes information on what arthritis is, how arthritis affects joints and how to manage symptoms.
The app can be used to:
• log Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROM)
• track improvements over time
• learn exercises that can be done at home
• manage diet and weight
• perform a Patient Initiated Review (PIR)
• find local groups run by local county council and sports partnerships
The HSE Hip and Knee Pathway app has been developed by the National Clinical Programme for Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in collaboration with the HSE and funded by the Sláintecare Integration Innovation Fund (SIIF) to test a new national care pathway for patients suffering with osteoarthritis of the hip and knee joints that can be managed without surgical intervention.
